My client is currently looking for an Injection Molding Process Engineer who will be responsible for planning, directing, and optimizing manufacturing processes and equipment for high-quality injection molded products. This role involves troubleshooting, process improvement, data analysis, and documentation. The engineer will also mentor and train staff. Key Responsibilities
Set and validate process conditions using scientific molding.
Troubleshoot molding processes, materials, and equipment.
Evaluate and improve tooling for quality and efficiency.
Collect and analyze process data for improvements.
Maintain process documentation and SOPs.
Train process technicians in scientific molding.
Lead continuous improvement and cost reduction efforts.
Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma techniques.
Program robots and peripheral equipment.
Ensure smooth plant operations.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's in Engineering or related field; Bachelor's preferred; or 10+ years of injection molding experience.
5+ years of hands-on injection molding experience with scientific molding knowledge.
Familiarity with injection molding and ancillary equipment.
Understanding of various thermoplastic materials.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience in a regulated environment, preferably medical, with validation expertise.
Physical Requirements
Regularly use hands and arms.
Frequently lift up to 50 pounds; occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Work performed in an ISO 13485 clean room with specific dress code requirements.
