Job Description:

The Lead Project Manager will act as a single point of contact for customers through the order acceptance, engineering, manufacturing, quality, financial and shipping phases. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, and the ability to coordinate across multiple departments and stakeholders, including Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Shipping and Construction departments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assume all communications with customer upon hand off from Sales, including working through negotiations and solving project related issues

Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications with internal and external stakeholders.

Develop and manage detailed project schedules and work plans, while monitoring progress of projects and adjusting as needed to ensure successful project delivery.

Coordinating with Engineering during the Engineering phase including the approval packages of each project. Ensure we are tracking toward our engineering due dates and resolving all outstanding engineering issues between the company and customer.

Upon submittal of Engineering to Production, communicate with Production Scheduling to ensure we are tracking toward production completion date to meet the overall Project plan.

Upon production completion and handover to shipping, communicate to ensure we understand delivery time frames.

Communicate specific project details to the appropriate departments, including issuing RFIs to customer and coordinating all information needed by Engineering.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.

All other project related issues with the project order

QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Ability to meet critical dates and manage multiple priorities.

Strong skills in customer relationship building, facilitation, and matrix management

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Some basic knowledge of engineered product lines, manufacturing processes, and global logistics

Ability to travel as required to perform duties (10% travel expected)

Desire to advance and grow in the project management field
