Job Description:

AP Professionals is partnering with a small, Syracuse company that is looking to add on a Customer Support Specialist / Services Support Specialist individual! This role has the opportunity to engage with both customers and a small internal team. Assist with providing support, delivering customer and technical service, and occasionally going out to customer sites. To work in this role you must have a valid and clean drivers license and be comfortable visiting sites on occasion and interacting with clients. An outgoing demeanor and skills within Microsoft office products are required!

This positions is full-time, direct hire and located onsite within East Syracuse, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls, assist customers, and receive faxes and e-business orders to quote price and availability of products
  • Acquire a working knowledge of products in order to effectively and directly answer customer inquiries
  • Coordinate inventory availability, restock products and coordinate delivery schedule and assist customers with special requests
  • Utilize appropriate inventory maintenance tools, including Inventory Management Software (IMS)
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively between customers, salespeople, and inside staff
  • Provide continuous support for customer needs by building working customer relationships
  • Schedule and maintain a delivery program with planned visits weekly or bi-weekly for select customer groups
  • Accept all incoming shipments from various carriers, including freight, using a process involving physical check in and electronic documentation, and accuracy assurance measures
  • Maintain paperwork and documentation for receiving inspections
  • Contacts freight carriers or customers for special pick up requirement
  • Operate warehouse machines-weight/scale, strapping machine, hose counter, labeling machines, bar code and scanning
  • Performs regular cycle counts of inventory to ensure integrity and accuracy of products
  • Request additional training and development as necessary; make proposals for additional training and submit to supervisor/manager.

Requirements

  • 1-3+ years of experience within a customer service capacity
  • Passion for developing solid working relationships with customers and coworkers
  • Strong interest in personal development and contributing to a positive work environment
  • Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Detail oriented and extremely organized
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive a company vehicle
