Job Description:

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

Our client, a privately held manufacturing company headquartered in Erie, PA, has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Director of Operations to join their leadership team. Reporting to the Board, the Director of Operations is responsible for all aspects of the Company's overall operation, including, but not limited to production, purchasing and materials, human resources, financial controls, and customer service. The ideal candidate is an experienced hands-on leader with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization to drive both performance and productivity while promoting a positive organizational culture.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 10-15 years' experience in a hands-on leadership capacity.
  • Manufacturing industry experience is required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Ability to analyze data, develop metrics and strategies which improve profitability, accountability, and revenue.
  • Ability to identify the root cause of production, quality and delivery issues, resolving errors and preventing reoccurrence.
  • Ability to collect and deliver departmental productivity, process, and efficiency reporting, including budget variances, sales reporting, on-time delivery, and other KPIs.
  • Establishes performance standards, setting high expectations for quality and performance.
  • Responsible for training and mentoring managers and employees, providing hands-on leadership and ensuring a strong organizational culture.
  • Oversees the creation and oversight of budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing.
