MATERIAL CONTROL CLERK- ONE (1) OPENING
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned);
Responsibilities
Understanding and complying with Federal Aviation Administration Regulations and European Aviation Safety Agency Regulations relating to Certified Repair Stations
Understanding and complying with Federal Acquisition Regulations
Understanding the operation of the company's IBM PC computer system and its software
Understanding and complying with common acceptable business practices for material control and running an office
Understanding and complying with all company policies and procedures and specifically those regarding material control.
Knowledge of supplier's performance and monitors performance.
Duties
Stocks material, in an efficient and timely manner, in accurate quantities to support production requirements.
Disburses and delivers material, in an efficient and timely manner, in accurate quantities to support production requirements.
Interfaces with accounting to resolve problems relevant to receipt of hardware and verification of quantity.
Interface with various departments to resolve problems with timely disbursements, rejections, etc.
Implements continuous improvement in assigned tasks.
Follows up with internal customers regarding disbursements, rejections, etc.
Maintain records and files as needed.
Maintain inventory control procedures.
Assists in developing minimum inventory on hand to support repair shops.
Follows instructions of superiors and advises them of difficulties or deficiencies that may prevent the timely completion of duties.
Work Shift: Day - Duration: Long Term- Hours Per Week: 40 - $20.00- $22.00/hourly
Education/Experience:
High school diploma required, two-year (Associate) degree and/or 2-5 years in material control within the Aviation business desirable. Strong verbal and oral communication and organizational skills required. Strong PC skills with word processing, spreadsheets, and graphs.
