Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Stress Analysis Engineer/Analyst with a strong background in the aerospace industry for a contract role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing static and fatigue analysis on aircraft structures, preparing repair schemes, and writing certification documents.

You will work closely with the client and follow industry standards and methodologies, especially Boeing methods, for structural analysis and repair.

Key Responsibilities:

Understand Client Requirements & Standards: Collaborate with the client to comprehend specific requirements and standards for aircraft structural analysis.

Perform Static & Fatigue Analysis: Conduct static and fatigue analysis of aircraft structures using hand methods or customer-developed analysis tools.

Prepare Repair Schemes: Review damages, compare them with affected structures, and develop repair schemes.

Document Analysis & Certifications: Prepare detailed analysis and certification documents based on findings.

Engineering Drawing Reviews: Review and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accurate repair and analysis execution.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience: 5-10 years of relevant experience in stress analysis of aircraft structures, with proficiency in both static and fatigue analysis.

Software: Hands-on experience with CATIA V5, and proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.

Engineering Drawings: Strong understanding and ability to interpret engineering drawings.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting and documentation.

Preferred Skills (Advantageous but not mandatory):

Boeing Programs & Methods: Experience with Boeing Design Standards, Analysis Tools, and Programs.

Fleet Support & Analysis: Familiarity with Boeing Converted Freighters, structural repair, and analysis methods.

Aviation Regulations: Working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations.

Finite Element Modelling: Proficiency with tools such as Nastran, Patran, ANSYS, Hypermesh, FEMAP, or MathCAD.

Damage Tolerance & Crack Growth Analysis: Manual analysis knowledge is a plus.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related field) is required.
