MesaQuantum is a venture-backed startup developing chip-scale quantum sensors for advanced position, navigation, and timing applications. We believe in a future where chip-scale quantum sensors will be a critical component in a variety of products that include IoT sensors, consumer electronics, and even autonomous vehicles in the air, sea, and ground.

We are building a team of quantum scientists and engineers who are excited about tackling the extremely difficult challenge of miniaturizing quantum sensors for mass-market opportunities. In this role, you'll own the product development process, from conceptual design to deployment. About the Role

As a Senior Atomic Clock Scientist, you will play a critical role in the development of innovative atomic clock solutions that drive the company's mission forward. The ideal candidate must have demonstrated the ability to set up their own experiments and drive results independently while also collaborating across teams and contributing to product development.

Your primary responsibility will be to Design, prototype and test miniaturized optical, mechanical, and electrical systems for chip-scale quantum sensors and atomic clocks.

This role will be based at our office in Boulder CO

Required Background:
  • PhD or equivalent industry experience in atomic, optical, quantum physics, or 3 years of related academic or industry experience
  • Optical, trapped Ion or microwave atomic clocks

Deep Technical Expertise in the Areas of:
  • Precision spectroscopy
  • Narrow linewidth lasers and laser frequency stabilization
  • Optics, fiber optics, electro/acousto-optics, detectors
  • Analog, digital, and RF electronics
  • Control systems and instrumentation

Pay Range

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, performance and relocation bonus, personal and dependent car benefits, and employee stock option plans. The base pay for this position ranges from $120,000 to $160,000 based on experience and qualifications.
