Job Description:

THIS IS A TEMP TO PERM OPPORTUNITY. The Stamford office of a global hedge fund is seeking a Temp to Perm Receptionist to join their Reception team. There is considerable potential to become a full time, permanent employee of the company in a short timeframe and to move up within the company. This in a fully in-office position and the hours will vary between 7-4; 8-5 and 9-6 (divided equally among all Reception team members). Once the position goes perm, it will be paying 50K base + paid OT and a bonus.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Screen incoming internal and external telephone calls; take and deliver accurate. messages, direct calls accordingly.
  • Greet visitors in a professional, friendly, and hospitable manner.
  • Manage contractor/daily vendor arrivals accordingly.
  • Maintain a professional and tidy waiting area.
  • Assist Security with the onboarding process of new employees entering the office.
  • Schedule meetings and allocate usage of the conference rooms across campus.
  • Respond to internal requests in an approachable, professional, and helpful manner.
  • Carry out administrative duties such as filing, copying, scanning, binding, etc.
  • Work with the facilities team regarding any requests related to the office space.
  • Routine data entry and tracking to monitor utilization of campus amenities. (Parking, Shuttle, Conference rooms, etc.)
  • Problem solve arising conflicts efficiently using the desk resources given.
  • Other special projects as assigned.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience working/interning in a corporate office environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional phone etiquette and a customer service orientation.
  • Personable/engaging and able to learn quickly and work independently.
  • Incredible foresight and follow though of tasks, and assignments.
  • Able to multi-task, juggle multiple projects and deadlines for various managers and staff.
  • Able to approach all levels of employees to offer assistance and handle request in a confidential, efficient and timely manner.
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft suite of software applications, internet and typing skills.
