The Field Based Clinical Education Manager in Lactation, NICU, and Maternity Care position requires up to 70% travel throughout the West Coast.

Education and Critical Skills/Experience – Clinical Education Manager-Lactation, NICU, and Maternity Care (West Coast)
Active RN license or Advanced Practice degree required
Lactation certification required with 2+ years’ experience
IBCLC certification will be required within 6 months of hire
Minimum two to five years’ experience in sales or sales support related role is preferred
Minimum of five plus years of clinical experience in the NICU: Clinical Nurse Specialist/Educator, Feeding Interventionist (OT/ST)
NICU RN preferred
Lactation certification is required
IBCLC certification will be required within six months of hire
Experience with Medela professional products required
Clinical management and/or leadership role experience in the NICU strongly preferred
Ability to communicate and effective sell in a highly technical environment with a broad spectrum of healthcare professionals consisting of Neonatologist, hospital administration, nurses, and lactation consultants on product technology and research information
Strong presentation skills
Strong computer and internet skills; software experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Must reside within one hour of a major airport
Position requires 50-70% travel
Employee must meet vendor credentialing/compliance demands of accounts within a given territory.The employee must satisfy the account’s drug screening requirements, including but not limited to screening for marijuana use, regardless of whether the use of marijuana is legal under applicable state law.
Main Responsibilities – Clinical Education Manager-Lactation, NICU, and Maternity Care (West Coast)
Responsible for education of health care providers (HCP’s) regarding Medela’s products, technology and clinical differentiation in the NICU market within assigned region.
Responsible for education of existing products and new products into the NICU market with the expectation of achieving target goals.
Establish a foundation of strong educational relationships including KOL’s with product awareness within the NICU departments of targeted accounts and territory that provides a route to educate, market and implementation of new products in the future
Responsible for working cross functionally with local sales reps, sales managers, and marketing to ensure appropriate education into the NICU and other appropriate markets.
Coordinate and execute all strategic educational programs and initiatives
Establish a foundation of strong educational relationships including KOL’s with product awareness within the NICU departments of targeted accounts and territory that provides a route to educate, market and implementation of new products in the future
Collaborate with Marketing, National Accounts, Sales and any other necessary groups as a clinical expert on various projects as well as product development
Responsible for implementation and execution of all strategic educational programs and initiatives both regionally and nationally
