In this role, you will:
Participate in complex initiatives and deliverables within Rail Operations that impact the existing and new rail car and fleet assets
Contribute to large-scale planning to multi-functional deliverables, recommend enhancements and procedural changes to maximum operational efficiency, quality, compliance and tooling enhancements
Review moderately complex business, and operational challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
Provide guidance and subject expertise to less experienced team with interpreting and understanding complex Association of American Railroads Interchange Rules and Recommended Practices and internal company policies and procedures
Independently resolve moderately complex issues and lead team to meet functional area process deliverables
Leverage solid understanding of the functions, policies, procedures and ensure activities are in compliance with AAR and FRA regulations and requirements and US DOT regulatory standards
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Rail Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Engineering Degree, preferred Mechanical
