Consumer & Small Business Banking (CSSB)

Consumer, Small & Business Banking (CSBB) provides financial services to consumer banking, consumer lending, and small business customers through over 4,300 retail bank branches and more than 11,000 ATMs in 36 states and the District of Columbia, as well as through 20 customer service centers. CSBB is focused on continuously improving our customer satisfaction, by simplifying our products, pricing and processes and targeted innovation at scale.

The Role

The Consumer, Small & Business Banking Sales Enablement Executive is responsible for training, readiness, enablement & execution, and establishing the incentive compensation design and execution for our small & business banking employees. This role will be responsible for driving holistic segment growth tactics, optimizing the training & readiness strategy in close partnership with our sales executive and through close collaboration with our branch network to ensure seamless integration.

Responsibilities include:
  • Responsible for day-to-day leadership of the Sales Enablement organization
  • Drive and activate on growth tactics and initiatives to enhance our suite of client solutions in collaboration with the sales executive
  • Design, develop, and deliver foundational and continuous training and readiness solutions that allow for elevated customer and employee experience outcomes
  • Accountable for the design and implementation of our compensation and incentive comp design, administration and performance goals outcomes, met with solutions to enable banker success
The Candidate

This leader must be an exceptional leader and will be recognized for accomplishments related to hiring, retaining, and developing a world-class staff. Successful candidates will be articulate and possess a demonstrated leadership capability and will have strong interpersonal effectiveness. They must have strong understanding of business drivers and processes and be an effective influencer that has credibility with business leaders and able to offer credible challenge as needed. Leadership, relationship management, and credibility will be determining factors in selection.

Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of management experience
Additional Desired Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in leading a matrix-centric organization
  • Deep understanding of Small and/or Business Banking, Lending and/or Branch Network
  • A history of improving training & readiness programs
  • Compensation design and administration experience
  • Effective process management across portfolio of initiatives
  • Leveraging financial and data analysis to drive results
  • Operational risk management and issue resolution
  • Ability to achieve results in a high complexity environment
  • Executive level communications
