Embassy Suites Austin Downtown South Congress is searching for a Rooms Manager to lead the day-to-day accounting operations!
Take in scenic views of the Austin skyline from our downtown hotel, located next to the Congress Avenue Bridge and Lady Bird Lake. The Austin Convention Center, Warehouse District, Sixth Street, and Second Street shops are less than a mile away. Enjoy our indoor pool, free made-to-order breakfast, and complimentary evening reception. The property consists of 262 guest rooms and over 2,300 sq ft of meeting space with 5 meeting rooms.We are looking for a passionate and driven leader with at least 2+ years Front Office and Housekeeping experience. Excellent organizational and leadership skills are a must!

What will I be doing?

As a Rooms Manager, you would be responsible for overseeing key guest contact departments and their department heads, managers and team members. Specifically, this includes but is not limited to: Direct the activities of key guest contact departments and provides instruction to department managers. Oversee rooms' related systems that directly impact the guest, to ensure proper procedures are in place and followed which allow for an outstanding guest experience. Manage daily Housekeeping operations to include, but not limited to, maintaining cleanliness, service and product quality standards of guest rooms, public spaces, restrooms, offices, and meeting spaces. Checks and controls front office systems, supplies inventory, scheduling, forecasting and department budget to maximize revenue. Ensure rooms are clean and available to guest in a timely and efficient manner, being a liason between Front Office and Housekeeping. Assist in monitoring and developing team members performance to include but not limited to, providing supervision, conducting evaluations and delivering recognition and reward.
