Job Title: HR Business Partner (HRBP)


Job Description: The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for partnering with supervisors, managers, and directors within the Operations division to drive business outcomes. The HRBP serves as a trusted advisor, developing, managing, implementing, and integrating HR programs and guidelines to support business objectives and maximize organizational optimization. The HRBP will leverage business acumen to enhance organizational performance in areas such as employment, performance management, and career development.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop strong business relationships with leadership.

  • Create forward-thinking strategies within designated client groups to diagnose, connect, and deploy team capabilities.

  • Collaborate with customer groups on operational strategies to improve business performance through people.

  • Align team structures to effectively drive enterprise strategy by partnering with leaders on intentional organizational design.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the business and deliver services to the Operations division to drive outstanding performance and partner on change management initiatives.

  • Provide advice and guidance on performance management, talent management, succession, compensation, coaching, and talent reviews.

  • Partner with HR centers of excellence to build management capability, develop individuals and teams, and facilitate an inclusive environment.

  • Support business through organizational changes and development as needed.

  • Establish effective partnerships with business leaders to influence talent decisions by providing tailored advice and expertise.

  • Drive informed decision-making by using data to identify trends, determine root causes of issues, and develop effective solutions.

  • Stay current with changes in employment law.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.

  • PHR/SPHR certification.

  • Experience in the insurance or healthcare industry.

  • HR experience in a call center environment.

  • HR experience working with supervisors and managers of non-exempt staff.

  • Experience in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities.

  • Previous organizational development experience.

  • Experience working in a center of excellence, matrixed environment.

  • Workday experience.

Required Skills and Experience:


  • 3+ years of progressive related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.

  • Previous experience supporting business units and shared services.

  • Proven ability to collaborate with entry and mid-level leadership to develop, design, and implement strategic HR strategies in conjunction with senior HRBP leadership.

  • Demonstrated competency in strategic business partnership, change management, coaching and consultation, development and execution of talent strategies, and championing diversity and inclusion.

  • Ability to use data and analytics to generate insights and present findings to the business.

  • Business acumen - understands and supports the organization's vision and strategy, understands the implications of decisions, and aligns work with strategic goals.

  • Experience in influencing and building relationships.

  • Strong communication skills - ability to articulate a variety of issues to different audiences and tailor messages accordingly.

  • Collaborative work style - understands the necessity to gain partnership and agreement, encourages trust among colleagues.

  • Ability to respond to changing and sometimes ambiguous situations.

  • Solicits and applies customer feedback (internal and external) to modify thinking, improve processes, and develop solutions.
