Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate the activities of production workers, ensuring they adhere to production schedules and quality standards.


• Adhere to and prioritize production schedules and ensure they are executed timely to meet delivery deadlines.


• Monitor production quality and ensure adherence to quality control standards. Escalate issues to Supervisor for corrective actions when quality standards are not met.


• May train new production workers on processes, equipment operation, and safety protocols. Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and knowledge.


• Coordinate with inventory control to ensure raw materials and supplies are available for production. Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for orders as needed.


• May collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure machinery and equipment are maintained and in good working condition.


• Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements. Promote a safe working environment and enforce safety guidelines.


• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.


• Provide regular updates to management on production metrics and issues. May maintain production records, prepare reports, and analyze data to measure productivity and efficiency.


• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.


• Contacts supervisor in the event of any complex problems with the production process or colleague issues.


• Understands the production policies, practices, and procedures. Ensures the team understands and follows these procedures.


• May serve as the primary lead during shifts to cover in the absence of the Supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

• Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 5 or more years of relevant experience.


• Proven experience as a production, lead, or similar role in manufacturing or production environment.


• Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety standards.


• Ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.


• Excellent organizational and time management skills.


• Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.


• Ability to read, understand and maintain records as required.


• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment


• Good communication and interpersonal skills.


• Proficiency in using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.

Working Conditions:

• Typically works in a manufacturing or production facility.


• May require working rotating shifts, extended hours or shifts based on production needs.


• Exposure to noise, machinery, and other occupational hazards.
