The Line Supervisor,  in Manufacturing Media is accountable for providing support and removing barriers for operations team members. Supports, trains, and coaches associates in all essential functions. Directs daily activities including scheduling of work, resource allocation, and quality and productivity in all aspects of media manufacturing. Ensure accuracy and thoroughness of all documentation. Assists Manager in meeting all measured performance targets related to Safety, Quality, Productivity and Cost on a continuous basis. Primarily supervises in clean room.


Key Responsibilities: 


Daily work direction



  • Provides daily work direction for operations associates and specialists by training, supporting, and coaching. Reviews daily schedule and allocates resources accordingly.


Problem Solving



  • Utilize root cause analysis tool to identify the cause to an issue or event impacting the process.

  • Assists in the implementation of corrective action(s) to identified root cause and track the effectiveness of the corrective action.


Supports meeting department objectives and goals.



  • Supports, tracks, and documents activities to meet department objectives/goals including quality standards and performance metrics related to Safety, Quality, Productivity and Cost.


Training



  • Supports employee and ongoing training for associates.


Communication with co-workers



  • Communicates with supervisor and/or fellow associates on related order questions or concerns.


Accurate documentation



  • Accurately documents necessary processes performed per procedural requirements and support the review of completed documents for completeness and accuracy.


Housekeeping



  • Maintains cleanliness and order including segregation and proper identification of material.




Adhere to safety requirements



  • Use of appropriate personal protective equipment and following necessary steps to ensure there are no safety concerns.




Other duties as assigned



  • Employees will be required to follow any other job-related instructions and to perform any other job-related duties required by their supervisor.


Education:



  • High school graduate or equivalent. Required

  • Associate degree in related field (preferred, but not required).


Professional Experience:



  • Minimum of seven years operations experience in a manufacturing environment or Associates Degree with 2 years of experience.

  • Experience working with medical product manufacturing and/or GMP manufacturing.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Must possess demonstrated math, reading, and writing skills. Required

  • Ability and willingness to ensure accuracy, understand detailed instructions, good interpersonal skills, record of dependability, and attention to detail and quality. Required

  • Basic computer proficiency in ability to enter data and retrieve SOP documents. Required

  • Ability to lead a team and make decisions. Required

  • Self-motivated. Required

  • Must be adaptable/flexible.
