Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Grapevine, TX that is seeking a Technical Writer with expertise in IT and preferably cybersecurity. The ideal candidate will have the ability to create comprehensive documentation at all levels, from user manuals to technical specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of IT concepts, and familiarity with cybersecurity practices is a significant advantage. The successful Technical Writer will be proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a wide range of technical documentation including user guides, API documentation, system requirements, and troubleshooting manuals


• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather information and ensure accuracy and completeness of technical content


• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation suitable for various audiences


• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in IT and cybersecurity to ensure documentation reflects current standards


• Work closely with cross-functional teams including to gather information and review documentation


• Continuously improve documentation processes and standards to enhance quality and efficiency


• Manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously and adhere to project timelines

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, Computer Science, or related field preferred


• Proven experience as a Technical Writer in the IT industry, preferably with exposure to cybersecurity concepts


• Solid understanding of IT concepts, terminology, and systems


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail


• Proficiency in documentation tools such as Microsoft Word


• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
