RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Project Finance Director in Arlington, VA.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy and Leadership:

• Develop, implement, and manage financial strategies and systems to support project execution, working closely with project managers, the finance team, and senior leadership


• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, budget forecasts, and project cost reports, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including business development and program operations) to align project financials with the overall strategic goals

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Lead project budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, ensuring adherence to approved budgets, and identifying financial risks


• Provide regular updates on financial performance and recommend corrective actions where necessary


• Analyze project financial data and present actionable insights to senior management

Deltek Costpoint Management:

• Oversee the administration and optimization of Deltek Costpoint for all financial management and reporting activities


• Ensure accurate project accounting, cost tracking, and invoicing using Deltek Costpoint


• Provide training and support to project staff on the effective use of Deltek Costpoint to monitor project budgets, expenses, and revenue

Compliance and Reporting:

• Ensure compliance with donor regulations, internal policies, and international accounting standards


• Prepare and submit financial reports to donors, project stakeholders, and regulatory bodies as required


• Manage audits, ensuring full compliance with financial reporting and accountability standards

Team Leadership and Development:

• Lead and mentor a team of financial analysts and accountants, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and high performance


• Coordinate with the Human Resources and Project Management teams to ensure financial staff are well-supported and trained

REQUIREMENTS:

• Deltek Costpoint experience, US Government Contracting, DCAA Audit, USAID experience is all required


• Strong in project finance leadership


• Needs someone to come in as a strategic advisor and come with fresh new ideas of how to improve their current operations


• Someone who is not hesitant to come with suggestions and ideas for improvement


• Supervising experience for a large team is required


• More emphasis on the project accounting experience but have someone who can cross over into the FP&A space as well


• Experience working for a for profit International Development company is preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
