About the role:
As a Unified Communications Specialist at TQL, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Teams environments. You will ensure that these communication and collaboration tools are functioning efficiently, securely, and in alignment with organizational needs. You will also provide technical support and guidance to end-users, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices for system management and usage.

What you’ll be doing:
Microsoft Exchange Management
Administer Microsoft Exchange environments, including Exchange Online and Exchange Server
Manage mailboxes, distribution groups and email policies
Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability
Perform regular backups, updates, and patch management
Troubleshoot and resolve email-related issues, including connectivity and synchronization problems
Microsoft Teams Administration
Configure and manage Microsoft Teams settings, policies, and features
Monitor Teams performance and resolve technical issues
Collaborate with other teams to integrate Microsoft Teams with other systems and applications
Responsible for the overall configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of domain services and Active Directory environments to ensure secure and efficient user authentication with correct access control and integration to enterprise systems
Evaluate and recommend improvements to enhance system performance and user experience
Implement best practices for security and compliance
Coordinate with vendors and service providers for support and upgrades
Provide top-tier support for Exchange and Teams-related issues
Develop and maintain knowledge base articles and troubleshooting guides
Participate in and lead projects related to the deployment and upgrade of Exchange and Teams systems
Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions
What you need:
3+ years’ experience managing Microsoft Exchange and Teams in a corporate environment
Bachelor’s degree in technology-related field, or equivalent work experience
Strong understanding of email protocols, security practices, and collaboration tools
Excellent problem-solving skills and understanding of business impact and criticality of email
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical personnel
Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation is a plus
