The Technical Support Engineer II - Hematology & Urinalysis for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for collaborating with Global Service, leading product support by providing escalation management, developing and executing support strategies, and training field specialists and instructors in support of existing products.




This position is part of the Global Product Technical Support Team and will be based out of the office in Miami, Florida. If you thrive in a multifunctional, customer-supporting role and want to work to build a world-class medical device organization-read on.





In this role, you will have the opportunity to:



  • Develop expert level knowledge of existing urinalysis systems and troubleshoot directly with Field Service Associates around the globe.

  • Analyze service data, as well as design and execute experiments to identify root causes of customer issues and develop corrective actions.

  • Support Kaizen events and represent the Service organization with partners, such as R & D, Engineering, Product Management, and Sales, to improve performance and reliability of our products using the Danaher Business Systems (DBS).

  • Create and maintain important product documentation for the field such as service manuals, parts lists, service bulletins, and modifications.

  • Incorporate Voice of the Customer (VOC) and Voice of Service (VOS) during design changes, documentation updates, and reliability improvements.




The essential requirements of the job include:



  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, medical technology, clinical laboratory science, OR related technical field with 2+ years of relevant experience in a medical device or related industry (OR Master´s degree with 0-2 years of relevant experience).

  • Able to effectively multitask many responsibilities, solve problems and implement decisions effectively, involving the right people in the process.

  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team setting and able to interact effectively at all levels and across different cultures.




Travel Requirements:



  • This position requires up to 25% travel - primarily domestic but may occasionally be international.




It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:



  • Hematology or Urinalysis medical diagnostics.

  • Data analytics as applied to failure analysis and corrective actions.

  • DBS Fundamentals such as PSP, VMDM, VPM, TPI



This job is eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
