Job Description:

Essential Functions



Drafts and coordinates the publication and distribution of materials, including articles and advertisements, press releases, brochures, flyers, etc.; create artwork, design, and layout of materials.


Assists with creating content and posts for the department's social media pages.


Receives and responds to social media inquiries and questions regarding assigned department; consults with department staff and management to provide appropriate responses to social media inquiries; assists in managing essential and time-critical communications; collaborates with County communications as needed; and keeps supervisor apprised of all media interactions.


Plans, creates, and facilitates programs to promote awareness of the organization's mission and activities, develops materials, presents to groups, hosts events, etc.


Assists with coordinating special events and activities for the assigned department. Implements communications plan for events; designs, produces, and publishes materials and articles; and assists with event activities such as setup and break-down as needed.


Maintains graphic art and photo databases and serves as liaison for charts, documents, logos, graphics, maps, and seals; ensures uses are in compliance with Tax Commissioner Office standards for internal or external use; takes and edits photographs and updates databases, as needed.


Conducts research relevant to the department's needs and utilizes that data to develop materials, programs, services, etc. to help the organization. Performs other related duties as assigned.
