Our human services client headquartered in Medford; MA is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join their team due to a well-deserved retirement. This position is temporary with the possibility of permanent placement and is in the office 5 days/week.



Requirements:



  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, finance or related field required

  • 3 years accounting experience in Nonprofit, Healthcare, Human Services, or related industry required.

  • Full cycle AP/AR, Invoicing, Billing, Month End Close, Journal Entries, and audit preparation experience

  • MS Office, Advanced Excel required

  • Manual (Paper) AP/AR processing in a high-volume environment required



Essential Duties




  • Using both manual systems as well as computerized systems, accurately assists in the completion of accounts payable tasks.

  • Researches and resolves problems associated with receivable and payables, of late and non-payment notices on receivables and payables.

  • Perform journal entries for AP/AR and month end close.

  • Assist in the completion of Direct Member Reimbursement Billing, and Direct Merchant Account Billing tasks.

  • Researches, keeps track of, and resolves problems associated with Billing.

  • Assists with reconciling and monitoring all petty cash accounts.

  • Assists with the processing of the individual payroll, including composition, data entry, and problem resolution.

  • Assists in internal and external audits.
