This position is located out of our Bloomington, IN office. It is a primarily on-site role, 5 days/week, with occasional remote days available based on workload/team needs.

The salary range for this role is $43,000-$47,000.

The Indiana University Foundation is seeking a Donor Recognition Assistant to join the Donor Relations team!

The Donor Relations team celebrates donors for their contributions toward Indiana University's mission and goals and ensures they understand our deep appreciation for their generosity. This role supports the team by coordinating various recognition initiatives, including the Loyalty Program and the Presidents Circle welcome box. You'll field a variety of donor requests for lodging, flower orders, mailing packages, and ticket orders. Also, you will help organize the fulfillment of gift requests, processing fund transfers, managing invoices, submitting mileage and other administrative tasks to help us recognize donors' essential support for IU!

We're particularly excited to find a candidate who can reorganize our donor gift webpage, so let us know if you bring that skillset to the table! Also, our team puts on events at various points throughout the year, so we may ask you to jump in and help the team as needed. With a consistent variety of team needs to support, we're looking for someone with excellent organizational skills as a reliable administrative assistant. Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree OR minimum 2 years of professional experience: field of donor relations/development strongly preferred
  • Combination of education/career experience will be considered

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office suite required, with enhanced abilities in Word and Excel
  • Strong organizational and customer-service skills
  • Ability to multi-task with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work with IUF constituents at all levels (university administration, donors, and faculty)
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • High degree of comfort working in environment where business needs fluctuate and change regularly
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in the handling of confidential information

Additional Information

As needed: must be able to lift up to 20lbs. and stand for an extended period of time. The role requires little physical effort, but occasional lifting of boxes and helping with event prep/set-up is part of this role.
