Job Summary | The Department of Political Science in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position Political Science to begin August 1, 2025. The selected candidate will be appointed to a 9-month, non-tenure eligible faculty position for an initial two-year period that has the potential for renewal and for promotion to Senior Lecturer after five years. The individual selected for this position will demonstrate clear potential for teaching excellence and will be able to teach classes that support the department’s new major: Law and Justice. The Law and Justice major is designed to equip students with an understanding of legal principles and justice systems and the critical skills needed to effectively address legal and justice-related challenges in various professional contexts. A Ph.D. in Political Science in hand by July 2025 is required. Applicants must include the following: 1) Cover Letter, 2) CV, and 3) Teaching Statement (upload as Specific Request 1).
