The Analytics and Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for direct technical development and lifecycle management of Sportsman's software applications [both in-house developed and 3rd party supplied] and managed services. The Analytics and Business Intelligence Developer will interface directly with the larger IT organization and business partners to ensure business needs are met. This position is key to driving advancements in the business through dynamic and flexible development and service improvements.
Essential Technical Competencies:
Proven ability to complete software development projects according to outlined scope and timeline
Work with Business and IT Partners to determine and define development project scope and objectives
Manage core development of Sportsman's interface tools and custom-built applications
Interface with 3rd party vendor technical teams during project phases, especially for integrated services and software projects
Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout SDLC
Develop and document SDLC processes to be used across the development team
Proven ability to work in an environment of shared technical resources
Proven success working with all levels of management
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong presentation skills
Proven ability to solve problems creatively
Excellent analytical skills
Core Qualifications:
Expertise with SQL, Scripting, and performance tuning required
Expertise with data warehouse (DW) and extract, transform, load (ETL) concepts
Expertise with PowerBI or similar BI tool required
Experience with Snowflake, Airflow, Python, and SplashBI preferred
Experience in Oracle EBS, E-Commerce platforms & retail environments preferred
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, Business Intelligence or related field
2+ years of professional software development experience or business intelligence analytics experience
