Senior Strategic Buyer Key Responsibilities:
Devise and execute sourcing strategies ensuring consistent and cost-effective raw material supply.
Identify potential suppliers, conduct evaluations, and negotiate contracts and pricing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to grasp raw material requirements and forecast demand accurately.
Monitor market trends, industry advancements, and supplier performance to optimize sourcing decisions.
Maintain precise records of purchases, contracts, and supplier agreements.
Address supplier issues including quality concerns, delivery delays, and price discrepancies.
Spearheaded cost-saving initiatives and pinpointed process improvement opportunities within procurement.
Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and compliance standards pertinent to raw material sourcing.
Senior Strategic Buyer Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience as a raw material buyer or procurement specialist
Proficient in negotiation and influencing skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers.
Strong analytical and problem- solving capabilities.
Skilled in supplier management and contract negotiation.
Familiarity with procurement software and systems such as ERP and eSourcing platforms.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
Knowledgeable about industry regulations and compliance standards pertaining to raw material sourcing.
Senior Strategic Buyer Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Oracle experience is a plus
Advanced degrees or certifications in procurement or supply chain management are a plus.
