Role-SAP WM Lead

Location :- Remote + Travel on need basis for couple of weeks (typically it will be requirement gathering, training, UAT, cutover only)
Job Summary:
As an SAP WM Lead, you will be responsible for leading the implementation, configuration, and optimization of the SAP Warehouse Management (WM) module. Your role involves managing end-to-end SAP WM projects, ensuring effective integration with RF (Radio Frequency) devices, and overseeing the setup and migration of warehouse management processes. You will lead teams, collaborate with business units to tailor SAP WM solutions to their needs, and ensure that documentation and training are thoroughly managed to support successful system adoption.
Key Responsibilities:
SAP WM Configuration:
Expertise in Configuration:
Lead the configuration of SAP WM, focusing on handling units management, storage locations, bins, and warehouse processes.
Customize and optimize SAP WM functionalities to align with business requirements and industry best practices.
Handling Units Management:
Configure handling units (HUs) and ensure seamless integration with SAP WM processes.
Implement and manage handling unit strategies for efficient warehouse operations.
RF Device Integration:
Configure and manage RF devices to integrate effectively with SAP WM.
Implement RF functionalities for critical warehouse tasks including picking, packing, and inventory management.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to RF device operations and ensure smooth workflow integration.
Project Management:
Implementation and Roll-out:
Lead at least two full lifecycle S/4HANA implementations, managing all phases from Project Preparation to Go-Live.
Oversee one or two roll-out and support projects, ensuring successful adaptation and functionality of SAP WM in different operational contexts.
Team Leadership:
Effectively lead and manage project teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met and objectives are achieved.
Migration and Loading:
Stock Migration:Manage the migration and loading of WM and handling unit stocks into SAP systems.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity during the migration process.
Documentation and Training:
Documentation:
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for SAP WM processes, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible for current and future reference.
Training:
Create training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure effective utilization of SAP WM functionalities.
Provide ongoing support and knowledge transfer to ensure users are proficient in using SAP WM.
Collaboration and Consultation:
Business Unit Collaboration:
Work closely with business units to understand their specific needs and tailor SAP WM solutions accordingly.
Provide expert advice and consult on best practices to optimize warehouse management processes.
Solution Alignment:
Ensure that SAP WM solutions meet business requirements and align with overall organizational goals and strategies.
Required Qualifications:
Educational Background:
Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience:
At least two full lifecycle S/4HANA implementations involving SAP WM, demonstrating end-to-end project management expertise.
Experience in managing roll-out and support projects related to SAP WM.
Proven track record of effectively leading teams and managing complex SAP WM configurations.
Skills:
Strong hands-on experience in SAP WM configuration, including handling units management and RF device integration.
Proficiency in configuring RF devices for warehouse operations and integrating them with SAP WM processes.
Experience with migration and loading of WM and handling unit stocks.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications:
SAP certification in Warehouse Management or related areas is preferred.
Experience with Specific Technologies:
Familiarity with advanced SAP technologies or additional modules related to warehouse management.
