We have been retained to assist our client, a brand-name consumer product manufacturer, with a Director of Supply Chain search in Greater Cleveland. Reporting to the COO, this Director will oversee the enterprise supply chain function and the execution of its vision, goals, strategy, and initiatives. This position will ensure a practical adoption of the performance targets into supply chain function working through functional management. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in international sourcing/purchasing.
Responsibilities:
Manage and mentor their team with a focus on improving efforts in purchasing, demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, and distribution.
Lead and work hand-in-hand with the supply chain team to develop and implement programs that will help manage the organization's sales growth
Analyze key performance metrics to ensure proper on-time delivery is met with increased production volume
Lead efforts to find, assess, and select suppliers that will improve value to the organization and help attain targeted business results
Develop and provide sourcing direction for their global supplier network
Implement logistics improvement actions, in coordination with the divisions and support functions
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree preferred
10+ years of experience at an operational level related to supply chain management
5+ years in supply chain/procurement leadership
Must have experience with sourcing and managing international suppliers
Must be able to travel internationally to visit suppliers
