We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Manufacturing to oversee manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in manufacturing leadership, particularly within the building materials sector. Director of ManufacturingKey Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute manufacturing strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Drive initiatives that enhance productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
Operational Oversight: Manage all aspects of the manufacturing process, including production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation. Ensure adherence to production timelines and quality standards.
Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing professionals. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Conduct performance reviews and implement training programs to enhance team capabilities.
Quality Control: Implement and oversee quality control measures to ensure that all products meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations. Address and resolve any quality issues promptly.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to optimize manufacturing operations. Utilize Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
Budget Management: Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, including capital expenditures and operational costs. Monitor financial performance and implement cost-control measures.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards. Promote a culture of safety and conduct regular safety audits and training.
Supplier and Inventory Management: Oversee relationships with suppliers and manage inventory levels to ensure a steady flow of materials and components. Negotiate contracts and manage procurement processes.
Technology Integration: Stay abreast of technological advancements in manufacturing. Evaluate and integrate new technologies and equipment to enhance production capabilities.
Director of ManufacturingQualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, Master's) preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Experience in the building materials industry is highly desirable.
Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to drive change and manage cross-functional teams. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and best practices.
Knowledge: Proficiency in manufacturing software, ERP systems, and advanced manufacturing technologies. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP) are a plus.
