The Assistant Project Manager coordinates project activities to ensure the project is on schedule. Provides administrative and logistical support including meeting arrangement, progress tracking, material tracking, and proper documentation.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Preconstruction
Track submittals for assigned projects
Ensure project is entered into software application
Review project specifications
Track MSDS' into software application
Import plans and drawings
Import and track project schedule
Understand contracts and subcontracts, COIs, bonds and permits
Duct and material take offs
Construction
Maintain accurate project schedule
Manage all safety requirements for assigned projects
Order and track all long lead items
Shop out materials with appropriate vendors
Track and manage all rental equipment and materials
Track and manage all Green Air tools and equipment
Assist with project inspections as needed
Attend meetings as needed
Assist with PO processes and invoicing
Post construction
Assist in compiling closeout documents
Set up for post construction meeting
Ensure all Green Air tools, Connex materials, lifts, ladders, etc. are returned at the end of each project
Education/Certification: *High School diploma or equivalent/Associate degree preferred
Experience Required: 2-5 years of experience in the construction industry
Procore knowledge preferred
Skill and Ability:
Expert level of verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to use significant independent judgment
Excellent time management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
FINGER DEXTERITY: Using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing
TALKING: Especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions accurately and/or quickly
HEARING: Requiring fine hearing abilities to understand speech
REPETITIVE MOTIONS: Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and fingers
PHYSICAL STRENGTH: Light work
STANDING/SITTING: For extended time periods.
Working Conditions:
Ability to operate in an open work area with moderate everyday noise.

Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
