Empowering both parties with simple tools to gather information and receive quotes
  • Reducing time to quote from weeks to minutes
  • Providing flexibility in product choices and levels of coverage
  • Developing innovative insurance solutions pinpointing the needs of historically underserved markets

The company is led by a veteran team of insurance and technology experts and is starting with $35M in funding from its founder & CEO, a Forbes-listed serial entrepreneur in the real estate and insurance industries. Blitz has an ambitious go-to-market schedule of launching multiple new products and markets and projects a high growth trajectory supported by further venture investment.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify opportunities to improve coverages, recommend solution alternatives, and coordinate with other areas to implement improvements
  • Support research competitors' forms and appetite across different market verticals
  • Leads management of existing products based on core business metrics (e.g., profitability, retention, hit ratio)
  • Collaborates closely with technical product management and engineering to ensure accurate implementation of insurance product requirements
  • Underwrite complex underwriting referrals and exceptions to the core guidelines and use learnings to optimize the underwriting algorithm

Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of related insurance experience in P&C commercial lines in underwriting, analytics or actuarial related roles
  • Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines
  • Ability to learn new applications and systems and process complex data from multiple sources to create analyses and reports
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong technical skills with proficiency in Excel, PowerBI, SQL
  • Ability to work remotely with a high level of self-motivation
  • Excellent written and verbal skills- ability to work in a team environment
