Job Summary The candidate will work under the guidance of Dr. Darlingtina Esiaka within the Center for Health Equity Transformation, specifically conducting research on social determinants of health and aging outcomes. The candidate will receive robust training and mentorship from Dr. Esiaka.

The duties of this position may include running cancer and dementia research protocol session with human volunteers that will include collecting behavioral data; participant recruitment; develop and evaluate new research techniques and procedures; collect data within community setting; perform statistical analyses independently; overseeing research infrastructure including subject payment budgets, supplies and record keeping; and preparing data for presentation and publication support as well as assisting in the preparation of progress reports and grant applications.

The candidate may also travel for presentation of scientific findings at national conferences. The scholar will assist in the design, conducting, analysis, preparation, and dissemination of cancer and dementia health disparities research.

The candidate must be competent in critical thinking skills, literature reviewing, and have pre-requisite training in health-related profession, biomedical sciences, epidemiology, or biostatistics.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access); Qualtrics, REDCap or other online survey software, Stata, SPSS or SAS, online project management software; Adobe; ArcGIS a plus

Preferred Education/Experience Master’s degree (Public Health, social/behavioral sciences, or related field) plus two or more years related experience in project management, training, IRB coordination, manuscript writing, database management, and survey design preferred.
