Located in the picturesque region of Morrisville/Stowe, Vermont, Copley Hospital is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital and a center of orthopedic excellence, offering a variety of services including orthopedics, cardiology, emergency medicine, neurology, oncology, general surgery, and more. We are seeking someone highly organized to be our Executive Director- Development & Public Relations. As a key member of the executive leadership team, you will be responsible for shaping the vision and execution of a comprehensive fundraising program, and securing resources to support the hospital's mission of providing high-quality patient care, medical innovation, and community health programs. You will be responsible for implementing high-level strategic initiatives under the guidance of the Chief Executive Office and maintaining efficient and effective daily operations. The Executive Director - Development and Public Relations will have previous leadership experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare system.

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a short and long-term fundraising strategy to achieve the hospital's financial goals, including major gifts, planned giving, capital campaigns, grants, and corporate partnerships.
Donor Engagement: Cultivate relationships with individuals, foundations, corporations, and other key stakeholders, ensuring a donor experience that builds loyalty and long-term engagement.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow the development team, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance. Collaborate with hospital leadership, physicians, and volunteers to maximize fundraising impact.
Campaign Management: Oversee all aspects of capital campaigns, annual giving, and special fundraising initiatives, ensuring that financial targets are met or exceeded.
Stewardship & Reporting: Maintain accountability and compliance with ethical standards in fundraising, including donor stewardship, financial management, and reporting on campaign progress to the CEO and Board of Directors.
Community Engagement: Represent the hospital at community events, meetings, and with stakeholders to promote philanthropic opportunities and enhance the hospital's reputation as a leader in healthcare.
