Job Description:

Position: Credit Manager                       

Location:  Fresno, CA

 

Fresno Madera Farm Credit is searching for a self-motivated, highly driven individual to join our fast-paced team environment.  As a key member of the Leadership Team, the Credit Manager will lead a team of Credit Analysts and oversee underwriting for large and complex loan applications as needed. Responsibilities include:

 

Leadership and Management

·         Lead, manage, and mentor the Credit Analyst team, providing training and feedback.

·         Oversee credit administration workflow to ensure timely loan application processing.

·         Evaluate credit processes, removing obstacles and identifying efficiency improvements.

·         Monitor team performance, ensuring adherence to established efficiency and turnaround standards.

·         Provide clear guidance, address conflicts, and resolve differences of opinion.

·         Make hiring and promotion recommendations and conduct performance reviews, taking corrective action when necessary.

  • Communicates Association updates and strategic direction to staff

  • Provides input on cross-department issues to seek resolution

·         Maintains organizational standards for all employees

 

Credit Administration  

·         Collaborate with lending staff to establish appropriate loan terms, conditions, and structures.

·         Provide consultation to the Credit Analyst team during underwriting to ensure consistency.

·         Review credit reports to ensure they clearly identify and communicate key credit considerations.

·         Review, recommend, and revise credit management policies as needed.

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

Education

·         Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field

 

Prior Work Experience

·         7 years of credit underwriting experience

·         5 years of supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job

 

Knowledge and Skills

·         Expert knowledge of credit analysis

·         Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office

·         Skill in analyzing and interpreting complicated credit and loan structures to determine credit risk

·         Skill in balancing logic and intuition to make sound decisions in a timely manner

·         Skill in making business decisions using a systematic, evaluative, information-based approach rooted in ethics and social responsibility

·         Skill in identifying key issues and relationships relevant to achieving long range goals or vision

·         Oral and written communication skills sufficient to discuss a variety of job-related topics, and to effectively communicate complex topics to a variety of audiences

·         Skill in identifying process improvement opportunities

·         Skill in guiding and leading individuals and teams

·         Skill in identifying challenging goals, and motivating others to achieve them

·         Skill in selecting, managing, coaching, motivating and developing diverse teams

·         Skill in creating and delivering effective presentations
