Your Role: Senior Quality Control Clinical Specialist

The Quality Control Clinical (QCC) team conducts animal potency and safety testing on avian species (chickens and turkeys) in compliance with 9 CFR and USDA regulatory guidelines. The Senior Quality Control Clinical Specialist assists with scheduling all required potency and safety testing that must be conducted for serial release, works closely with the Site Veterinarian to maintain animal conditions that comply with animal welfare standards and conducts general poultry husbandry and animal testing.

Your Responsibilities:


  • Lead or assist in testing manufactured vaccines and provide care and husbandry for animals, ensuring proper environmental conditions and compliance with USDA regulations.


  • Utilize SAP to determine vaccine testing needs and record/review results, as well as assist with data analysis, change controls, and deviation investigations.


  • Collaborate with coworkers to schedule and ensure timely testing and release of vaccines; communicate test statuses to the QCC Leader following regulated testing requirements.


  • Draft and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain Animal Welfare documentation; ensure facilities meet regulatory inspection standards.


  • Support technical staff with procedure development and training; develop improvement programs and maintain a safe working environment.


What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Qualifications):


  • Must have a minimum of a high-school diploma or equivalent.


  • A minimum of one year of experience working in a regulated industry (FDA/USDA)


  • Must be task flexible, capable of multitasking and willing to accept new assignments, projects, and challenges.


What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):


  • A minimum of one year of experience in animal husbandry preferred


  • Excellent communication skills


  • Proficiency with business applications such as: Word, MS Office, Excel, and SAP


  • Motivation to work independently, as well as in a cooperative manner, with the supervisor.


Additional Information:


  • Weekend work is required on a rotating basis


  • Showering throughout the animal facilities is required


  • Must have the ability to pass FBI Select Agent background check


  • Work in indoor and outdoor environments, including inclement weather


  • Completion of Post Offer Exam, Completion of Work Simulation or Completion of Administrative Skills Testing
