Job Description:

As the Material Expeditor, you will expedite CPSR-compliant purchase orders, based on approved requisitions, requests for proposals, bids and other similar and necessary documents related to the purchasing of services and materials. You will analyze, organize, plan, and administer various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, or maintenance / repair activities for a smaller program or portion of a larger program.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Expedite CPSR-compliant purchase orders, based on approved requisitions, requests for proposals, bids and other similar and necessary documents related to the purchasing of services and materials.

Analyzes, organizes, plans, and administers various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, or maintenance/repair activities for a smaller program or portion of a larger program.

Analyzes standard contractual documents, technical data, customer usage data, customer maintenance practices, customer operation characteristics, and related reports for assigned contracts to determine spares provisioning or maintenance/repair requirements.

Develops logistics plans in order to enhance distribution of goods and supplies.

Conducts distribution and network studies, monitors inventory and analyzes requirements in order to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times.

Perform a variety of general tactical duties as required to support purchasing activities.

Follow through on any supplier changes (Engineering Change Notices)

Communicate supplier performance.

Maintain sound professional relationships with suppliers. Resolve issues (e.g. delivery, quality, timing, claims, contract disputes, etc.) associated with terms and conditions of service agreements.

Manage any supplier issues (i.e. cost, quality, delivery, customer service).

Act as a liaison between procurement and customer to provide daily updates on requisition and procurement data.

Research New Parts Request and update system with data as appropriate.

On call for Customer priority issues requiring immediate response.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Degree and related technical training.

2 years directly related experience (or equivalent combination of education/training and experience).

Experience with DoD, ITAR, EAR, FAR, and DFAR regulations preferred.

Experience with Haystacks, Bincs, Fedlog, MSC, and GSA preferred.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Superior customer interface skills.

Excellent problem-solving skills.

Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
