Job Description

We are looking for a Sensors/DSP Engineer Co-op to join our research lab this spring! In this role you will help build our next generation of wearable and out-loud product experiences enabling people to hear better, love more music, and achieve more. The duration of this position is 6 months starting January 2025 (full-time 40 hours/week).

Responsibilities


  • Develop and evaluate DSP and Sensor algorithms with a focus on acoustic and tracking applications.

  • Research, implement and evaluate a variety of published approaches and algorithms for problems in sensor tracking, acoustics sensors, and DSP.

  • Evaluate current sensor, new sensor applications, and feasibility.

Minimum Qualification


  • Currently in the process of obtaining a B.S. as a rising Senior, a M.S., or a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Acoustic Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Strong experience with programing in Python, MatLab, and Simulink.

  • Coursework or familiar in DSP for real time applications, and geometrical mathematics.

  • Familiar with IMUs, rotational geometry, transmitter/receiver principles, wave physics, and sensor applications.

  • Experience with cross-group and cross-culture collaboration.

  • High levels of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Qualification


  • Demonstrated sensors experience via an internship, co-op, class, or personal project.

  • Knowledge of tracking algorithms and principles.

  • Knowledge of RF and Sonar principles and applications.

  • Knowledge of room acoustics.

  • Knowledge of embedded DSP.

  • Knowledge of C/C++, and bash scripting

  • Music or Acoustic experience and interests
