Job Description:
Experienced COBOL developers. Skillset should include: Proficient in the COBOL programming language and be able to work with a COBOL Z/OS mainframe. They will also need to know other programming languages, such as JCL, SQL, MS SQL Server, PL/SQL, IBM DB2, SQL Server, Oracle, IMS CICS, and TSO. Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence and ADO are a plus.
Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
- Ten+ years of software development engineering experience.
- Working knowledge in an IBM Mainframe environment ? proficient with COBOL, JCL, DB2, and working with IBM Mainframe ZOS toolsets.
- Strong knowledge of the following: DB2, IDCAMS, SyncSort; File-Master; File Transmission (FTP/NDM); The following would be nice to have: REXX; Endevor; Clarity; Jira
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in technical design writing and documentation.
- Proficient with usage of MS office ? Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint
