Description: Our client is currently seeking a Compliance Specialist III


Project Overview: With the widespread impact of AI technologies, the growth and diversification of our products, and the proliferation of new and at times fragmented laws and reporting requirements, we face one of the most exciting and challenging moments as a company. The newly formed Risk, Compliance & Integrity organization (RCI) brings together critical compliance, assurance, risk and governance functions across Google to help the company meet compliance needs and enable our businesses to innovate. Our goal is to make compliance a competitive advantage for Google by driving scaled, data-driven, and policy-based compliance programs. We manage our operations through risk-based prioritization and governance and consistent and constructive regulator engagement.


This person would be joining the team Certification and Attestation that comes us RCI. Our team delivers highly impactful certifications and attestations on behalf of Google to our users and business partners.


Overall Responsibilities:

• Participate in the planning, readiness and audit execution phases, including scoping, risk assessment, preparation of documentation, control re-validation, and support of audit programs performed by external auditors


• Assess and advise stakeholders on compliance risks, controls, and issues identified during audits


• Coordinate, manage, and facilitate processes to address auditor's inquiries, activities and requests effectively and timely


• Communicate schedules, priorities, and status to stakeholders across the company.


• Advise on control auditability and automation opportunities

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:

• Domain Expertise: Has experience with security compliance frameworks, controls, and best practices (e.g., AICPA Trust Principles (SOC 1/2/3), ISO 27000 series, PCI DSS, SOX,) and other compliance frameworks.


• Critical Thinking: Questions assumptions, various perspectives and uses logic and reasoning to reach well-informed conclusions


• Communicates Effectively: Communicates clearly, confidently and authentically in oral and written forms

Mandatory Skills/Qualifications:

• Experience with testing ITGC SOX, ISO 27001, SOC, TAG, ARP and security and privacy controls


• Experience in compliance programs and audits


• Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and audit frameworks


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
