A Day in the Life

The Principal Financial Analyst role within the US Enterprise Accounts and Service (US EA&S) Finance team will partner with the US Enterprise Accounts & Specialty Channels commercial team to drive improved margins, growth, market share, and enhancing the customer experience for the largest customers in the US. This position will provide analytical insights and business decision support to the Finance Director of US EA&S and associated VP's and direct leadership teams of the Enterprise Account & Specialty Channels Sales organization. This position will assist the AOP (Quota) process, reporting and deep dive analytics, and provide key financial insights on operating and strategic plans to generate an appropriate financial return; generates forecasts and analyzes trends in sales, gross margin, and selling, marketing and administrative cost structures.

Team is working hybrid and will be onsite 3-4 days/week.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.


  • Coordinate the AOP (Quota) process for the EA&S sales organization.

  • Generate quarterly forecasts and manage the financials to ensure achievement of key performance metrics.

  • Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance versus plan and forecast.

  • Complete deep dive analysis and reporting required by business including Quarterly Business reviews (QBR's), Monthly Financial Reviews (MFRs) and various ad hoc analysis.

  • Identify risks, opportunities, and gaps to forecast and plan. Identify and recommend corrective action plans to mitigate key risks.

  • Support the company's growth plan by analyzing and reporting performance of growth initiatives and identifying key performance indicators.

  • Partner and support the Sales Finance COE on expense reporting, forecasting and planning at a cost center level.

  • Performs and analyses financial modeling, economic research, trends and studies subjects such as rates of return, depreciation, working capital, cash flow, investments, and cost against budget, variance analysis, forecasting, financial planning, and strategic plans

  • Special projects including, but not limited to, financial analysis and modeling related to proforma assessment with alternate sites growth opportunities and support Specialty Channels growth initiatives.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting (Or Advanced Degree with 5+ years)

Nice to Have


  • 5+ years of Financial planning and analysis experience

  • Broad knowledge of various financial disciplines, including Commercial Finance support

  • Strong business acumen, ability to negotiate and influence decision making.

  • Analytical, Interpersonal, Organizational, and Project Management exposure

  • Successfully deal with Ambiguity and Change, Comfort Around Higher Management, and Presentation skills

  • Experience with Proforma modeling, ROI and risk assessment

  • Experience working in a large multi-national environment

  • Ability to analyze and identify key issues, convey results and present alternatives in a concise manner to Senior Management

  • Broad understanding of the business and processes and able to make necessary linkages of business factors to the impact on plan and results

  • Advanced experience with MS Excel and Database tools

  • Experience with SAP, Boxi, Tableau, Power BI

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$103,200.00 - $154,800.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
