Financial Consultant - CST FP&A

A Day in the Life

The Financial Consultant role will help provide critical financial support for the CST (Cranial & Spinal Technologies), a $5B Operating Unit within the Neuroscience portfolio. This position will provide analytical and business decision support to the CST FP&A Finance Director, as well as the CFO of CST. Supporting all regions and functions across CST, this role will help coordinate global financial planning, forecasting, and analysis across the OU, and be a critical point of contact for the extended CST finance team.
CST (Cranial & Spinal Technologies) Overview
The Cranial and Spinal Technologies (CST) operating unit is redefining cranial and spinal procedures to reduce variability and improve outcomes with the goal of restoring long-term quality of life for more patients. We are the first company to offer an integrated solution that includes artificial intelligence-driven surgical planning, personalized spinal implants, and robotic-assisted surgical delivery to make patient care more customized.

Position Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include the following and other duties may be assigned, as applicable:


  • Works closely with the CST FP&A Director and CFO on all key financial processes and actively looks to improve processes across the extended finance team

  • Responsible for leading and monitoring system submissions for the OLM finance consolidation of the Annual Operating Plan, Strategic Planning, and other rolling forecasting processes

  • Perform detailed financial analysis and evaluate historical financial performance as directed by CST leadership to help support business decisions

  • Prepare and present financial reports to leadership in a timely manner, highlighting key metrics and offering critical insights

  • Use financial acumen and technical skills to drive continuous improvement related to key metrics and financial results

Must Have: Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting (Or Advanced Degree with 8+ years)

Desired / Preferred Qualifications:


  • MBA / CPA / CFA / CMA

  • Ability to perform in a high-pressure, dynamic environment and manage tight time commitments

  • A high degree of initiative and self - motivation to manage requests independently as needed

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with ability to manage several projects simultaneously

  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a team environment, and partner with all levels of the organization

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications - Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience with finance applications such as Essbase or Hyperion Financial Management

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$127,200 - $190,800
