Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Test automation for software developed within Agile Software Development team and maintain test environments.
Supplementary Tasks
Configure and maintain test environments, including network configurations
Optimize test automation procedures including software sanity
Document and track defects in test management system
Review project related technical specifications and give feedback
Maintain test equipment and prototypes in LAB
Respond to internal customers (Agile Development Teams, SVT), including support for defects debugging
Use measurement equipment necessary to complete tasks
Learn independently about new technologies, test methods and usage of measurement equipment and products under development
Partner with people in different teams and sites to reach consensus on problem solutions
Commit to continuously improving, support new ways to eliminate waste and improve the efficiency/speed of software development, and test within the team without sacrificing quality
Follow Agile/Scrum practices within the team
Develop testing strategies, test plans, test cases, and execute those plans
Develop and execute automation scripts using Python, BASH scripting, and Robotframework
Work with GIT, SVN software configuration management
Work in a Linux environment
Present accomplishments and internship take-aways
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required
Pursuing BS Computer Engineering/Computer Science or related
Basic knowledge of IP, UDP, TCP and standard Internetworking applications (telnet, ftp, ntp, syslog, etc.)
Able to work at a desk majority of the day; moderate lifting, 15 - 44 lbs.
