DESCRIPTION

Michael Baker International is seeking an energetic leader to work collaboratively with proposal staff and technical leads to prepare winning proposals and presentations. This position can be worked remotely or hybrid in any Michael Baker office. The Proposal Coordinator will partner with proposal teams in the development of a proposal or interview within the company's best practices framework. The ideal candidate is equal parts creative and organized and be able to balance varying skillsets including writing, and page layout. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to work successfully with a team and should possess or be willing to develop project management skills. A successful Proposal Coordinator works well under pressure, follows through, can juggle multiple tasks, is a team player, keeps team members informed throughout the process, and leads by example.

They will support proposal development efforts with responsibilities including but not limited to:


  • Working collaboratively to support proposal teams to prepare winning proposals and presentations.
  • Supporting the proposal lead in production efforts, including: preparation for kick-offs and team meetings; research, review, editing, and tailoring of technical content including sales messaging and graphics; participating with document reviews; production and delivery, and completing other tasks and assigned responsibilities.
  • Assisting with the coordination, design, layout, and production of proposal materials.
  • Using internal database information to support proposal efforts.
  • Utilizing task management, best practices tools, and communication skills to manage, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and meet competing deadlines. Promptly reporting issues and asks for help.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Very flexible on years of experience in support of the planning, preparation, and development of architectural and engineering proposals for government and private clients. We are looking for someone who is content to stay in this role on a long-term basis with no growth path projection.
  • Project management skills are a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to focus on details and on the big picture.
  • Organizational and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Effective decision-making skills.
  • Time management skills: ability to manage, organize, and prioritize project assignments to meet competing deadlines.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and document organization skills.
  • Familiarity with the AEC industry is a plus.
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign is a plus.
  • Intermediate to expert skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with proposal database software, Deltek Vision is a plus.

COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $57,000 - $90,000. This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.
