Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Python Developer in our Energy and Sustainability Services group. The preferred location is Louisville, Kentucky.

About the Team

As part of the Energy and Sustainability Services group, you will join a team of talented architects and developers. Our Sustainability Architecture Group focuses on leveraging cutting-edge technologies to build innovative and sustainable solutions. We utilize advanced Python frameworks such as Pandas, FastAPI, Lang Chain, and Llama Index, along with other libraries, to develop solutions that drive efficiency, sustainability, and intelligence for our clients.
What will you do?


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement software solutions that address energy and sustainability challenges.

  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable Python code using frameworks like Pandas, FastAPI, Lang Chain, and Llama Index.

  • Develop APIs and web services using FastAPI to support data-driven applications.

  • Design and implement AI agents using frameworks like Lang Chain and Llama Index to enable advanced decision-making and automation.

  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.

  • Analyze large datasets using Pandas to generate insights and drive decision-making.

  • Optimize code performance and scalability.

  • Implement best practices for data handling, storage, and AI agent development.

  • Work with DevOps tools and practices to ensure smooth deployment and maintenance of applications.

  • Automate routine tasks and processes using Python scripting and AI-driven approaches.

  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards, AI best practices, and ethical AI considerations.

  • Keep up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in AI relevant to sustainability and software development.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Proficiency in Python and experience with frameworks such as Pandas, FastAPI, Lang Chain, and Llama Index.

  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and AI development.

  • Experience with RESTful API design and development.

  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.

  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker.

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
