The Boeing Company is looking for a F/A-18 Associate Electrical Mechanic to join our team in San Antonio, TX.
Position Responsibilities:
Maintain, repair and modify aircraft structures and structural components
Maintain and repair aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components
Determine equipment malfunctions to restore equipment condition and or operation
interpret technical documentation such as blueprints or manufactures' manuals
Perform on and off aircraft electrical modification to electrical wiring and system components
Perform complex connector terminations including shielded wires, coaxial cables and fiber optic wiring
Troubleshoot malfunctions in aircraft electrical and environmental systems depot maintenance level
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. San Antonio, TX.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required.
3+ years of experience in aircraft electrical modification to electrical wiring and system components
3+ years of experience with shop practices, electrical/electronic theories and systems
3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements to perform electrical modification/repair
3+ years of experience accessing aircraft computer data systems to initiate on-line parts and discrepancy requests
Experience with F-18/Fighter or Depot Level/Modification maintenance
Active Clearance (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
