RESPONSIBILITIES:
Summary:
The Data Governance Analyst will be responsible for interacting with business stakeholders to gather data quality requirements, evangelizing data governance principles, managing data governance projects, and leading data governance initiatives. This role requires strong communication and project management skills, with a focus on ensuring data quality and compliance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Governance Analyst will collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document data quality requirements
- Evangelize data governance principles and best practices across the organization
- Manage data governance projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives
- Lead data governance initiatives, including data quality assessments, data stewardship projects, and data governance policy development
- Develop and maintain data governance documentation, including data dictionaries, data lineage, and data governance frameworks
- As a Data Governance Analyst, you will conduct training sessions and workshops to educate business users on data governance practices
- Monitor and report on data quality metrics and compliance with data governance policies
- Work closely with engineering partners to ensure data governance requirements are integrated into data systems and processes
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or a related field
- Proven experience in data governance, data quality, or a related role
- Knowledge of data governance principles, frameworks, and best practices
- Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successfully managing data governance projects
- Familiarity with data quality and data catalog tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and results-oriented approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with business stakeholders at all levels
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in conducting data quality assessments and developing data governance policies
- Knowledge of data stewardship programs and data governance frameworks, like the non-invasive data governance framework or DAMA's DMBOK
- Familiarity with data management tools and technologies, such as data dictionaries and data lineage tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address data quality issues
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
