RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's client, a Detroit, MI-based automotive manufacturer who brings engineering, technology, and design together to create innovative vehicles, energy solutions, and in-vehicle services is seeking a Group Leader 2.

Summary:
The Production Group Leader will be responsible for managing medium to large work teams in a fast paced, manufacturing environment. The Production Group Leader is responsible for team safety; building and motivating teams; delivering quality to the customers.

Key Tasks:

• Group Leader 2 promotes, educate, communicates and follow up on safety initiatives and culture


• Create a highly engaged team


• Supervise medium/large team in production environment


• Responsible for ensuring proper training, development and evaluation of team members to promote highly effective teams


• Lead Global Manufacturing Systems processes and serve as a resource supporting launch and pilot activities


• Improve the body shop operations through problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives


• Maintain a good working relationship and communicate across all team members and departments


• Achieve Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, Environment key performance indicators supporting the Business, Plan, Deploy (BPD)


• As a Group Leader 2, you will meet first time quality metrics and Built in Quality (BIQ) IV requirements


• Complete administrative tasks such as timekeeping and maintains departmental records and reports


• Meet production cost schedules by supporting Production's ability to -Build in Station-

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma and or GED


• 3 years of GL experience


• Manufacturing Kronos


• Experience working with union


• Computer literate

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
