RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Salt Lake City, UT that is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer.

Summary:
In this role, the Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will manage both on-premises and Cloud services, ensuring they meet the necessary reliability, security, and risk standards for the business. The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will also be responsible for implementing data center and Cloud projects to align with business objectives and drive innovation. This role's primary responsibility will be to oversee the provision and configuration of servers, storage, data centers, remote sites, and Cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities will include:


  • Implementing infrastructure architecture diagrams to provision and configure servers, data centers, and Cloud infrastructure with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability

  • Configuring data center and Cloud solutions for server virtualization, high availability, workload automation, identity management, storage, backup, and the enterprise technology stack

  • Driving technology priorities and architectural patterns across the organization to achieve a balanced blend of data center, Cloud, and edge computing services

  • Creating and updating infrastructure diagrams, process documentation, and run-books to reflect changes in solutions, new implementations, or system retirements

  • Contributing to a transformation strategy that shifts on-premises data centers toward a Cloud-native model while maintaining the reliability and security of enterprise systems

  • Supporting the design and architecture needs for business and IT solution upgrades, ensuring adherence to global standards, policies, and procedures

  • Managing service providers for data centers, Cloud infrastructure, backup, storage, and identity management, ensuring compliance with SLAs and OLAs

  • Collaborating with developers and business analysts to establish best practices for transitioning to Cloud-native solutions







REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience

  • Preferred certifications in VMware, Microsoft, Active Directory (AD), SQL, Linux, ITIL, or security

  • Preferred certifications in Cloud administration (Azure or AWS)

  • 5+ years of experience managing enterprise infrastructure, including data centers, servers, virtualization, storage, backup, disaster recovery, and security

  • 3+ years of experience supporting Cloud-native infrastructure architecture, ideally in Azure or AWS environments

  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory/EntraID and other identity management systems

  • In-depth understanding of Cloud services, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and DaaS, as well as future trends in Cloud computing

  • A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.



We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
