Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in visual arts, graphic design, or a related field from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree preferred.
Job Description Summary The University of South Alabama’s Center for Archaeological Studies is seeking to hire an Anthropological Illustrator. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.

Essential Functions

These are the job duties required of the position.

Essential Functions
  • Drafts visual depictions of anthropological/archaeological subject matter, such as artifacts, buildings, people, and other subjects.
  • Creates visual designs to communicate ideas or messages for print, web, or multimedia.
  • Collaborates with staff members to plan, design, and implement new projects.
  • Writes descriptions, sections of reports, and/or reports as appropriate.
  • Regular and prompt attendance.
  • Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required.
  • Related duties as required.
