Education and/or Experience


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Engineering
  • Minimum of 1 internship, preferably in aerospace or 6 months of related experience

Language Skills

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or customer and governmental regulations/standards.
  • Ability to write reports, and procedures (work instructions, process specification, product qualification reports)
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers

Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual shall be proficient in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks software; Microsoft office (Excel and Word Processing, Power point, etc.) are mandatory.

Summary

Assists in technical documentation, directing, and coordinating manufacturing processes in manufacturing plant by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Prepares technical documentation, including engineering drawings for operations, drawings for tooling and fixturing, job travelers, bill of materials, etc.
  • Supports in evaluating and developing current manufacturing practices
  • Proposes and promotes improved manufacturing methods, aiming cost reductions through increasing productivity and efficiency.
  • Analyzes and plans products' workflow/flow-path, proposes and designs, layout of equipment layouts and proposes workspace (re)organization for maximum efficiency.
  • Confers with planning, design staff and shop operation concerning product and tooling design to ensure efficient production methods.
  • Confers with vendors and customers to determine product specifications; proposes for purchase of equipment, tooling, fixturing, materials;
  • Prepares requisitions and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Confers with management, product and manufacturing engineering, shop operations and EHS regarding to manufacturing capabilities, safety and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
  • Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
  • Assists senior engineers in methods, tooling, manufacturing, product and quality requirements
