This role is supporting the space systems division of one of our longest partners in our 28 years of staffing in Aerospace and Defense. This program builds satellites and spacecraft that do amazing things in space for government and commercial customers. You will be working with a team whose satellites give earlier warning of severe weather, connect troops on the battlefield, and deliver GPS directions to a billion people worldwide. Responsibilities:
Partner with Program & Senior Management to drive cost, schedule, and technical performance by facilitating integration across all functions.
Responsible for developing compliant Integrated Program Schedules which accurately validate the flow, budget, and resources required to execute contractual scope and overarching program strategy.
Provides the program with time-phased critical path predictive analysis and actionable planning data, and develops recommended solutions to programmatic execution conflicts.
Ensures all commitments are tracked, monitored and statused.
Prepares/coordinates the development of planning artifacts for solicitation response.
Interfaces with program management, senior management and the customer as the programs planning integrator.
Ensures vertical and horizontal integration, and cost/schedule integration between all schedules and other program artifacts.
Devises modeling and measuring techniques to integrate risks and opportunities with schedule and cost baseline, and to perform schedule risk assessments.
Utilizes performance and health metrics analyses to drive actions resulting in improved program performance.
Qualifications:
8-10 years of previous planning/scheduling experience
Earned Value Management experience
Ability to perform critical path and risk analyses
Ability to communicate and work effectively across multiple disciplines
Thrives in fast-paced environments and demonstrates a willingness to adjust to changing priorities
Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills
Past Lockheed Martin Space Experience
Desired Skills:
Experience with Microsoft Project Server, Open Plan, Acumen, and One Pager Pro
Understanding of the end-to-end lifecycle of a spacecraft/satellite program
Understanding of the Program Performance Management Process
Demonstrated competency in integrating cost/schedule
Prior team lead experience
Ability to work independently as well as part of an integrated team
Strong sense of follow-up and closure with attention to detail
Self-starter able to operate with minimal guidance
Desire and willingness to support dynamic proposal activities
Strong influencing and relationship management skills
Excellent problem solving skills to identify and resolve challenges arising in dynamic situations
Makes sound decisions quickly and efficiently, even with limited information or under time constraints
